Health & Well-being
At Cheltenham College International School Kuala Lumpur, we are committed to nurturing every student’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being in a warm, inclusive, and culturally aware environment. We believe in empowering young people with the knowledge, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive in an ever-changing global society.
Students are taught in mixed-ability classes, where activities are tailored to accommodate diverse academic levels and learning styles. With small class sizes, children benefit from a close-knit and supportive environment, allowing them to apply classroom concepts to independent and creative projects. Most subjects are taught by their class teacher, fostering a strong and familiar connection.
Each child sets personal achievement targets in collaboration with their teacher, and these goals are shared with parents to ensure a supportive learning journey. By the end of Year 2, students are well-prepared and confident to transition into Junior Prep (Years 3 and 4), ready to embrace the challenges ahead.
Pastoral Care
The well-being of every student is a shared responsibility, not just a department. Every adult in the school is committed to ensuring children feel known, safe, and supported so they can thrive. We provide in-house counselling and nursing care, and safeguarding is woven into everyday school life.
Throughout the year, we mark key initiatives including mental health awareness, antibullying, and online safety. At the heart of it all is our partnership with families. From the moment your child joins, we maintain an open and ongoing dialogue; because the best care is always collaborative.
